Miss Gina Davis is the Chief Executive Officer and President of The GDA Group, LLC, initially founded in 1992 as GD Associates, LLC in Washington D.C. Her career started in New York City, as an executive recruiter in the Wall Street industry (Banking, Brokerage, and Insurance.) Upon relocating to Washington, D.C., she was initiated into the Federal Government world: Defense Contractors, Intelligence Agencies, and all branches of the United States Armed Forces. Her expertise in Talent Acquisition and Executive Search led to relationships with both large and small government contractors. She was often hired as an employee to work on specific projects, upon completion of a specific project she returned to her consulting business. She has filled the roles of President, Vice President, Program Manager, Strategic Resource Manager, Client Relations Manager, and Human Resource Manager.
Miss Davis relocated the company to the Charleston, SC region, residing in Myrtle Beach. With the move, the name was changed to The GDA Group, LLC, and registered as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB).
GDA is an Information Technology Solutions Provider with expertise in Software Crises Mitigation., Rapid Prototyping, Concept of Operations, Proof of Concept, Rapid Application Development, and Developing Minimal Viable Products
GDA is a member of: the Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA); North Charleston Area Small Business Development Center US Women’s Chamber of Commerce (Southeast Charleston Region); and the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA). For the CDCA, The GDA Group actively supports the Charleston area STEM program. April 2024 the GDA Group participated in the HEROES OF FLIGHT Joint Base Charleston, AIR SHOW. The GDA Group created a virtual wind tunnel display for the event and shared it via a QR code with students and teachers.
Under the leadership of Ms. Davis, she led her team in a critical Department of Justice contract. GDA was to staff eleven hundred personnel within thirty days, across the contiguous United States and all U.S. Territories. Ms. Davis was singularly assigned to the Western Quadrant including Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, and Wake Islands, and the Midway and Johnston Atolls. She led a team of recruiters who filled 275 jobs within thirty days. Her reputation was established and her consulting firm, GD Associates, was incorporated a year later.
Miss Davis’s extraordinary people skills make her a natural leader and manager. As Program Manager for DMS International, she managed a contract with the Center for Security Forces, US Navy, Norfolk, VA. She worked directly with the Base Commander and Department Leaders. The objective was to update training manuals for Expeditionary Combat Skills; Riverine Boats; Small Arms; Automatic and Crew Served Weapons; SERE training; K-9 training and more. She served as the Program Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration, Center for Management and Executive Leadership transitioned a new Director for the school, and hired additional instructional designers, for the FAA’s private university in Palm Coast, Florida. As Program Manager for the US Department of State, Security Technical Operations Services contract, a $550M contract which grew to over $1.25B, and was the cornerstone contract for securing embassies, consulates, and DOS regional financial center overseas and in the US. She worked with an automated tracking system to deliver “Just in Time” supplies, repair parts, and security systems to top embassies to meet the congressionally mandated technical security upgrade schedule to ensure embassies in contested environments had the latest security technology installed to protect personnel, property, and information.
She served as Vice President of Huntech Consultants, a Toronto Canada-based headquartered and executive search firm. In this role, she opened the United States office, promoted the company’s US presence, and successfully conducted recruitment for both Canadian and American positions. In addition, she conducted business development and increased new client acquisition.
Miss Davis has a unique and diverse experience in business and the varied facets of directly generating revenue and supporting revenue growth Recruiting and Staffing, Business Development, and Program Management.
Miss Davis is an ardent supporter of the military and veterans. She has spent many days doing Transition Assistance Planning (TAP) for veterans transitioning back to civilian life. She received numerous awards and accolades from many military personnel for her help and support during their transition.
She created a non-profit organization, Rape and Assault Prevention (RAP Sessions), and has led numerous seminars and clinics. Clients included the Federally Employed Women’s Association, National Red Cross Team Volunteer Program, and Girl Scouts of America. Through Montgomery County, MD, she was a volunteer, providing emergency outreach support to sexually assaulted survivors.
Her hobbies have often become professional endeavors. As a supporter of the music arts. She formed an independent record company, managed artists, and produced a weekly Television series, “Inside the Blues”, which featured local, regional, and national music artists.
